Nibbling Through the Day? You’re Not Alone, Mum.

As mums, we’ve all done it.

A crust here, a bite there — the uneaten leftovers from our kids’ plates. It’s not a proper meal, but when you’re always on the go, it becomes your routine. And then the guilt creeps in — not for what you’ve eaten, but for the fact that you’re not really looking after yourself at all.

I’m Marzia Rahmani — a mum of three — and I lived that cycle for years.

But everything changed when I started fasting.

At first, I fasted for religious reasons — not knowing the deep benefits it would one day reveal. As I went through life, I began to notice a pattern: my skin looked better, my thoughts felt clearer, and I was more grounded — always during the times I was fasting, both intentionally and unintentionally. That connection stayed with me. Eventually, I began to fast more mindfully — not to lose weight, but to create space and discipline in my day.

Fasting stopped the grazing and helped me press pause. It reminded me that self-care doesn’t always have to mean a long bath or a shopping trip. Sometimes it just means allowing your body (and mind) to rest.

The bonus?

My skin started to detox naturally. Without layers of products. That’s the beauty of fasting — when done safely and mindfully, it supports your whole system, inside out.

But because skin still needs support, especially during fasting, I created Savef Skin Essential Face Serum — to work with your body’s natural rhythm. It hydrates and protects your skin barrier with ingredients like ceramides, peptides, and antioxidants — no harsh actives, just skin-safe strength.

And here’s something else that sets Savef apart: I deliberately created a gentle slip in the formula — so you can massage it in.

As a UK-qualified beauty therapist, I know the power of facial massage. Even one mindful minute in the morning or before bed can stimulate circulation, support lymphatic drainage, and bring a little brightness to your skin — not to mention your mood. That natural movement also helps desiccate the skin ever so gently, giving you a touch of natural exfoliation without disrupting the barrier.

Now, I try my best to keep up with this ritual. But with my own children — especially supporting speech delays — it’s not always easy. Still, I see this tiny act of massage as a way to show up for myself. It’s grounding. It’s intentional. And it reminds me I matter too.

When money’s tight and your children need new shoes, books, or support with their unique challenges, it's hard to justify spending on yourself. That’s why I made Savef simple, multitasking, and affordable — a way to care for your skin without overthinking or overspending.

Because mums deserve to feel well — and be well — even in the chaos.

And sometimes, it starts with just not finishing the fish fingers.

With love,
